Sending light & love

Our 1st daughter died the day she was born. The tragic beauty of that exact moment is etched in my heart; a moment of pure love and wholeness leaving me forever grateful.  

There is love after death.

We almost lost our 2nd; insistently rejecting the doctor's order to "abort and start over."  After 5 months of bed rest she was born a month early; beautiful and perfect. 

We welcomed our 3rd and 4th, both boys.

Pregnant with our 5th, the hospital called to reschedule our ultrasound to a new day; what would have been our 1st daughter's 7th birthday.  Hesitantly, I agreed.  

That day, I bring our 2nd daughter along with me.  She's now 6 yrs old and holding my hand as the same doctor who's advice we rejected years earlier tells us, "You're having a girl."

There is love after death.  

At ellest, we believe in the power that love holds; transcending space and time, existing before birth and outlasting death in the eternal now.  This fundamental truth gives reason to intentionally make space for love to continue.  

We celebrate remembrance as an act of eternal loyalty.  Accepting grief as ever present, we embrace it, invite it into our lives and designate heart space.  As grief resolves into gratitude, we rejoice in our strength.  This is a daily practice of devotion to our interconnectedness.  It is the reason why we create beautiful journals, cards and stationery to help us all endure heartbreak, heartache, and longing to reimagine a life of love everlasting.
